STEP 7 SAVE
1. To save your web page, click on the save button in the composition toolbar.

Now you must Publish your files online

This particular program is not user friendly at all as it totally ignores much of what ArisHost has set up as its defaults to make publishing via FTP easy.

Here are the steps to follow for publishing your document.

1. After opening Composer and constructing your HTML file, you should save a copy to your hard drive, just in case.
2. With the pertinent document open in Composer, go to the File menu and select Publish. This will open a pop-up window. In this pop-up window you will first set the title of your page, then the filename. Make sure you type in the filename correctly, as UNIX is case sensitive. In addition, typing the filename incorrectly will result in a broken link.
3. The next thing you see will be the "HTTP or FTP Location to publish to:" box. This is the unfriendly part of the program. In this box you are going to type in the absolute FTP pathname to the directory into which you are publishing. For example if filename is your file that you wish to publish: ftp://yourdomain.com/filename
4. Next you are going to fill in your username and password. For your username, enter your domain name. If you plan on using this publishing software a lot, you can click on the Save Password checkbox.
5. The last thing in this pop-up window is the "Other files to include" section. If you built your entire site in one directory, and you want to upload it all at once, you are going to select "All pages in this folder." Otherwise, you probably just want to leave it as the default setting.
6. Click "OK."

Congratulations! You have finished uploading using Netscape Composer
